The newest generation of dual sensors F25 made by Pepperl+Fuchs, the market leader for open solutions for valve position detection with inductive sensors, monitors the valve position of manual valves and small actuators by non-contact technology.
An inductive dual sensor detects the valve position „open/closed“ of a rotary actuator. As there is no existing mechanical contact, the sensor can be completely separated from the activator (“puck”) in a hermitically sealed housing. System failures due to mechanical wear and corrosion are things of the past.
This electronic sensor solution combines a high level of switching accuracy and precisely-defined hysteresis with high robustness.
To ensure that the sensor can be connected seamlessly with the controlling system, options with all common connection types and interfaces are available. In addition to the cable and connector versions a compact version with terminal compartment is available within this new product series.
The signalling of the valve position indicator (“puck and beacon”) is also included with this product portfolio and provides the operator getting optical status quickly from the distance.
The patented low-power electronics of the dual sensors is also available for this new series. The residual current of less than 0,2mA allows a direct replacement of mechanical or Reed contacts against the new inductive, maintenance-free sensors. Thus, the classic advantages of both worlds are united.
F25 inductive dual sensor is an integral part of the Pepperl+Fuchs product family open solutions for the feedback of valve positions for rotary actuators. The sensor is installed directly on the actuator drive; the puck and beacon is installed with screw and protective cover on the drive shaft.
