Enterprise Information Management (EIM) and data specialist, Master Data Management (MDM) today announced its partnership with global Big Iron to Big Data giant, Syncsort, who recently acquired MDM’s longstanding software partner, Trillium Software. MDM will leverage Syncsort’s expanded product portfolio to provide organisations with a one stop shop to deliver quality data, efficiently at scale.
The new Syncsort solutions MDM offers combine efficient ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) and Change Data Capture (CDC) capabilities with real-time enrichment and validation of data going into data lakes, into a highly beneficial package which ensures data lakes remain fresh so that analytics yields optimal results.
“Essentially, the combination of Syncsort’s data integration and data quality software enables our customers to effectively organise enterprise-wide data and deliver it to data lakes, keep the data lakes from becoming data swamps, and attain peak quality data for next-generation analysis, said Gary Alleman, Managing Director, Master Data Management. “If the quality and enrichment of data is not of the right standard, successful data analytics is not possible.”
“Organisations in South Africa are starting to take data seriously, especially when it comes to knowing their customers and targeting specific demographics,” adds Allemann. “To be competitive and make smart, tactical decisions, it’s vital for them to have a full 360-degree view of their customer. Combining data from multiple agencies and sources can be complex, however, especially when compliance with various regulations is a priority.”
Alexander Trekin, Regional Director – Russia, CIS and ESA at Syncsort, says, “Our partnership with MDM is a key part of our plans for expanding our African reach, specifically on delivering more value to South Africa through innovative yet simple technology design. MDM gives us presence and sales leadership in South Africa, a market we consider to be especially important.”
Trekin’s commitment to invest in South Africa and broader African markets is underpinned by Syncsort’s sponsorship of the upcoming IDC South Africa CIO Summit 2018, taking place in Johannesburg on the 18th and 19th of April.
“We are immensely excited about this partnership, and the ability it gives us to – better than ever – equip our customers with a competitive edge through effective data solutions,” concludes Allemann.
