Service Engineer – Petrochemical Instruments – Secunda, Sasolburg, Durban

Company serves its customers with cutting-edge technology and significant R&D resources to support its core technologies: chromatography, elemental analysis, physical properties, fuels composition, and laboratory automation.

We are looking for an experienced technician to offer exceptional after sales service and ensure that all required repairs are accurately carried out within specified time frames with a view to building and maintaining relationships with customers.

To provide technical support to internal and external customers and conduct corrective and preventative maintenance as required

Job Requirements

Provide full technical support for petrochemical lab equipment and general lab equipment by handling all technical queries from customers as well as calls pertaining to the progress on repairs and availability of stock

Visit customers’ sites and carry out all corrective and preventative maintenance and repairs as required

Carry out fault finding effectively and communicate with the customer as to the problems, offering the solutions to sort out problems

Carry out installations as per company procedures and in accordance with the manufacturers specification

National travel will be required with limited travel within Africa.

Skills required :

Chemistry Degree , ND Instrumentation or similar

Must have worked and have knowledge of lab equipment used in the Petrochemical Industry in excess of 3 years Instruments include Viscometer, Distilliation Systems, CFPP Analyzers, Flash Point instruments (Not negotiable)
