The SAIMC (Society for Automation, Instrumentation, Measurement and Control) strives to be the driving force behind the development of the Automation Industry Profession in South Africa. Through the SAIMCs continuous developmental focus on the Automation Industry’s professionals and aspiring students alike, presentations and other developmental workshops take place.
SAIMC Tshwane branch recently conducted a presentation on the 6 Flow Principles, which are Coriolis, Vortex, Magmeter, Ultrasonic, Thermal and Differential Pressure flow principles at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) eMalahleni/Witbank Campus. The presentation was presented by Nico Marneweck (SAIMC Tshwane: Tertiary Education Portfolio) and Muhammad Babamia (SAIMC Tshwane: Student/Youth Support). The presentation was live and interactive, with a huge turnout (+-50 students), the content presented pushed students towards interacting with the main presenter (Nico) and prizes (sponsored by Endress+Hauser) were awarded to successful answers. Overall the students showed great enthusiasm and displayed eagerness to learn.
