INFINIDAT, an international leader in software-centric data storage solutions has appointed leading ICT distribution company, Pinnacle, as their primary distributor in South Africa. The appointment will enable INFINIDAT to grow its customer base in the South African market and allow Tier 1 enterprise customers to leverage the company’s value proposition of high availability, high performance and the lowest possible TCO at multi-petabyte scale.

This distribution partnership is an ideal strategic fit, as the Alviva Group, Pinnacle’s Holding company, also has longstanding relationships with many of INFINIDAT’s alliance partners such as VMWare and Cisco, as well as Pinnacle’s partnerships with Commvault, Mellanox and more. This makes it easy for channel partners to integrate INFINIDAT solutions into end-to-end solutions for the customer.
INFINIDAT offers flexible cost models from simple Capex deals, through to Capacity on Demand and a flexible utilities Opex based model. Gouws added, “The flexibility allows us to provide the financial structure that best aligns with our customers’ business models and requirements.”
INFINIDAT has worked closely with Pinnacle to provide the necessary sales and technical training to Pinnacle engineers and sales staff, effectively making Pinnacle a valued extension of INFINIDAT’s own team. Pinnacle will receive the benefit of incentivised programmes aimed to bolster sales efforts.
