Hytec South Africa appoints first female Regional Manager
Hytec South Africa, a leader in hydraulic solutions, has appointed Michelle Bruwer as Regional Manager of its Limpopo region, effective 1 March 2024. This makes her the first female in this position for the Bosch Rexroth Africa Group company.
Bruwer started at the company as an Administrator in 2016 with no experience in the hydraulic industry, making this milestone more significant. After immersing herself in the industry’s intricacies, she rose through the ranks, acquiring the well-rounded experience and insights necessary to excel in her new role as a Regional Manager.
Bruwer’s passion for the hydraulic industry, strategic thinking, determination, adaptability, and ability to transform her visions into reality propelled her to Regional Manager. In this new position, she will contribute to Hytec South Africa’s overall growth and success through her region’s business strategies.
Reflecting on her journey, Bruwer comments, “My passion for the hydraulic industry ignited during my tenure at Hytec South Africa. I was drawn to the dynamic mining environment, and it became my mission to excel in this field.”
Commenting on the progression towards diversity and inclusion, Bruwer says, “It is inspiring to witness the progress towards gender diversity and inclusion. However, we must continue to prove our worth and overcome being undermined.”
Bruwer is steadfast in her commitment to cultivating a diverse and inclusive culture within the company. She offers valuable advice to aspiring women in the hydraulic industry, emphasising the importance of career development, continuous improvement and an increased capacity for new challenges.
Hytec South Africa congratulates Bruwer on her historic appointment and looks forward to her continued leadership and contributions to the company’s success.
