Zutari, a leading buildings and infrastructure engineering and advisory firm, has reflected on a successful participation at the 2025 FIDIC Global Infrastructure Conference, held in Cape Town from 21 to 23 September 2025. This year’s event marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) brought its prestigious global conference to African soil.
As a Silver Sponsor, Zutari played a visible role in shaping discussions around sustainable, resilient, and people-centred infrastructure. The conference brought together international leaders, policymakers, and industry experts to explore how collaboration and innovation can drive global infrastructure delivery.

“The conversations at FIDIC 2025 reminded us that infrastructure is not only about what we build, but who we build it for,” says Teddy Daka, Zutari Group CEO. “Our ability to combine digital innovation with human insight defines how meaningfully we can engineer impact.”
Throughout the event, Zutari showcased its growing digital and data-driven capabilities, including advanced modelling, digital twins, and integrated design tools that enable faster and more sustainable infrastructure outcomes. The firm also emphasised the importance of human-centred engineering, ensuring technology and design serve people and communities first.
Zutari’s leadership team, including Denver Dreyer, CEO: Middle East, and Tlhabeli Ralebitso, CEO: Africa, contributed to strategic discussions on how these lessons can be applied regionally to drive resilience, innovation, and inclusive growth. The conference’s key themes of sustainability, digital transformation, and global cooperation closely align with Zutari’s purpose-led approach to engineering.
“FIDIC 2025 provided an invaluable platform to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the future of our industry,” concludes Daka. “We leave inspired to continue leading with purpose, shaping a future where engineering truly makes a difference.”
